On Sunday, July 16th at 9 PM, BWS in conjunction with the Horror Writers Association, will be hosting a very special evening with Dark Shadows Icon Sharon Lentz. As this marks the 57th Anniversary of the famed horror soap opera, we are excited to hear stories from the set from one who was there.
Sharon’s first television commercial was for Post Cereal, and thus started the steady stream of auditions and many commercials for Sharon at such a young age.
In 1965, when Sharon was 8 years old, she portrayed a character named Suzie Carter on the soap opera, Search for Tomorrow (1951). At the time, each episode was 15 minutes long, and it was live. By 1967 , Sharon won the role of little “Sarah Collins”, the younger sister of Barnabas Collins, on the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows (1966).
Dark Shadows aired on ABC from 1966-71 and became one of TV’s most popular daytime series of all time.
If you’re a fan of the original Dark Shadows, this is an event that you will not want to miss. This will be a live event with a Q&A. You will find the link here.
Hope to see you on!
